The Phenolic Compounds Fast Blue Assay Kit (cat. KB03037-200T) uses the Fast Blue BB diazonium salt reagent to provide a rapid, highly sensitive, and interference-free measurement of total phenolic content (TPC) in food and plant samples.
Unlike the traditional Folin-Ciocalteu assay, the Fast Blue method is selective for phenolic compounds and is not subject to interferences from sugars, amino acids, and other reducing agents that can give false-positive results with the F-C reagent. The kit enables detection of a broad spectrum of phenolic compounds including simple phenols, hydroxycinnamic acids, flavonoids, and tannins.
