- Product type: superparamagnetic beads for magnetic separation of biomolecules/cells, supplied as a suspension for packing separation columns
- Core: magnetite / iron oxide (Fe₃O₄), superparamagnetic – no residual magnetism after magnet removal, no aggregation.
- Shell (matrix): polymer (polystyrene) or silica shell, chemically inert, low non-specific binding.
- Particle size: 1–5 µm, uniform size distribution (CV < 10 %). (adjust to application – 50 nm–1 µm is common for cell separation)
- Surface functionalisation: streptavidin / carboxyl (–COOH) / amino (–NH₂) / silica (nucleic acids) / protein A/G / non-functionalised.
- Binding capacity: 8–40 µg of target biomolecule per 1 mg of beads (fill in according to functionalisation).
- Suspension concentration: 10 mg/ml (or 1 % w/v) in PBS/Tris buffer with preservative (0.02–0.09 % NaN₃, or azide-free – to be specified).
- Package volume: 80 ml in a single container (not a cumulative volume of several smaller packs).
- Compatibility: suitable for packing separation columns with bed volume of 80 ml; compatible with common buffers (PBS, Tris, TE), pH tolerance 3–10, temperature range 4–40 °C.
- Storage and shelf life: 2–8 °C, do not freeze; minimum shelf life 12 months from delivery.
- Other: endotoxin-, DNase- and RNase-free (if relevant for the application).
