The CUPRAC Total Antioxidant Capacity Assay Kit (cat. KF01005-400T) employs the CUPric Reducing Antioxidant Capacity (CUPRAC) method, a highly sensitive and selective colorimetric approach for measuring the antioxidant power of samples based on the reduction of Cu(II)–neocuproine complex to Cu(I)–neocuproine.
The CUPRAC assay operates at physiological pH, making it particularly suitable for biological samples. The resulting orange-colored Cu(I)-Nc complex is measured at 450 nm. Results are expressed as Trolox equivalents (TE) per sample unit.
