The DMPD Total Antioxidant Capacity Assay Kit (cat. KF01001-100T) provides a fast and reliable colorimetric method for quantifying the total antioxidant capacity (TAC) of food, plant, and biological samples using the DMPD (N,N-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine) radical cation.
The DMPD assay is based on the decolorization of the intensely colored DMPD radical cation in the presence of antioxidants. The degree of decolorization is proportional to the antioxidant activity of the sample and is measured spectrophotometrically at 505 nm.
